Love You, Hug You, Read to You

Love You, Hug You, Read to You English Version

Tish Rabe’s newest book Love You, Hug You, Read to You! was written in response to a growing need for a book that encourages caregivers to read to their children. Studies have shown that talking about what’s happening in a book helps children master pre-reading skills much faster than if they just listen to a story. This interactive book includes questions caregivers can ask their children that will help them be ready and eager to learn to read and promote a life-long love of books.

Love You, Hug You, Read to You Spanish Version

¡Te amo, te abrazo, leo contigo! is a bi-lingual book written in both Spanish and English. Studies have shown that asking children's questions about what's happening in a book helps them learn to read faster than if they just sit and listen to a story so this book features interactive questions in both languages. It also offers the opportunity for Spanish speakers to learn English and English speakers to learn Spanish!

Happy Readers

Wonderful learn to read with love books. This terrific little book is all that a picture book should be. Sweet story, adorable characters, and super fun rhymes. Perfect for cuddling and reading to your young child.

My daughter was gifted this adorable book on her second birthday. I love reading or singing it to her and she enjoys the activities on each page. Lovely message and it's beautifully illustrated. PS my daughter calls it "Hug You" and always offers up a hug or two while I read it.

Such a great book for creating opportunities to snuggle and hug and show your children how much you love them. I love that it asks interactive questions, too, to get children actively engaged.

Cute book! Love the interactive questions to ask the child during the book

This sweet, simple board book promises the tiniest audiences constant, enduring love.

Reading with kids, especially babies and toddlers, is about more than just vocabulary building and storytelling. It’s also a way to build physical and emotional bonds.   Rabe’s words are simple, and her clear rhythm and rhymes are laced with the repetition the tiniest audiences love. The result is as gentle as a lullaby,To extend the reading experience, each page here has three questions, e.g., “What is Mama Cat doing?” and “Where is Baby Polar Bear sitting?” Some of the questions have straightforward answers, while others are cleverly positioned to spark discussion: “Why is Mama Duck reading to her ducklings? What is their book about?” This is a board book both babies and parents will enjoy."

School Library Journal Review

Toddler-PreSchool: A beautifully illustrated bilingual board book for both child and parent. Soft words in brief sentences will undoubtedly bring comfort and a love for reading to the youngest readers, and tips and questions provided at the bottom of every spread will give parents ideas on how to expand the learning experience with their children. Lovely illustrations of a variety of animals enjoying books with their babies are sure to be a hit, and children will have fun exploring the pictures on the covers of the books that the small animals are reading. The positive message of reading together is great for sharing before bedtime. VERDICT Recommended for all bilingual collections. – Selenia Paz, Helen Hall Library, League City, TX

A Teacher's Review

Thank you so much for sending the ten books to me! Love You, Hug You, Read to You! is just delightful! I just love the warm sentiments expressed. As a retired reading teacher, I thought the questions posed on each page were a wonderful help to new, young parents. The illustrations are beautiful, large, clear, uncluttered and most endearing! Kudos to you for a beautiful book! – Jeanne O'Connell
